Autograss is a plugin for 3DS Max that generates grass using the GPU of the computer it is run on. Grass objects are placed and animated automatically based on settings and filters you can adjust. This plugin is for 3DS Max versions X86 and x64. Autograss will not work on versions below X86 or above x64.1) Install Autograss: Download the file, unzip the contents, locate the folder (keep in mind that some program files may be hidden by default) and copy it to your computer's desktop (example: C:/Users/User Name/Desktop). 2) Edit the file "Autograss.ini" by opening it with Notepad. 3) Double-click the file "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Autodesk\\3ds Max 2017\\bin\\3dsmax .exe" to run 3DStudio Max. 4) Now you should see an Autograss icon on the left side of your 3D Studio Max window, click on it and select "Start New" to open the Autograss GUI. 5) Follow the instructions in the Autograss GUI to adjust the settings that will determine how many grass objects will be generated (see below). 6) Click "Start," a grass object will be rendered and the desired settings will be saved in your Autograss.ini file. 7) After you have finished making adjustments to your settings you can start rendering grass objects with the click of a button in the Autograss GUI.
